Marvin Freedman, a mathematician from Boston University, passed away on April 26th, 2007. As an active participant in Focus on Mathematics, Marvin led study groups in Lawrence and Arlington. He also worked closely with students on research projects for our Math Fairs and Expo. We have been most fortunate to benefit from his extraordinary energy and enthusiasm over the years.
