Mathematical Interests: Mathematical Modeling, Problem Solving

D.Phil. Oxford University 1984. Since then worked at Victoria University of Wellington, University of Delaware, and at University of Massachusetts, Lowell since 1989

I am particularly interested in mathematical modeling at all levels. I teach the Math Modeling course here at UML and have run special sessions at Merrimack High School and have helped mentor students at Westford High School. In addition, for two years I taught Calc I and II here at UMass and the lectures were broadcast live at Lawrence High School. I used to visit the Calc class there one day per week.
