         :: Colloquia ::
Boston University hosted two Focus on Mathematics colloquia during the first year. The first colloquium coincided with our Kick-Off Event on December 5, 2003. It was attended by superintendents from every district; over 100 teachers; and numerous mathematicians, educators, and distinguished guests.

In 2004-2005, we held four colloquia serving 192 guests. Each colloquium is followed by a reception. This helps bring the BU community of educators and pre-service teachers together with the FoM in-service teachers and build a stronger community of peers while cementing district-wide connections among teachers, mathematicians and administrators.

Beginning in 2005-2006, we will hold two colloquia per year.
